This means a single button press takes me from work laptop to MPB or vice versa (including waking up a sleeping laptop) AND simultaneously switches the keyboard, mouse, speakers, mic and webcam. I have mapped the user-configurable short-cut buttons on the monitor to switch between i) USB-C and ii) DP + upstream USB3. The downstream ports on the monitor connect to my Logitech BRIO, Blue Yeti mic, Bose computer speakers and the Logitech unifying receiver for the MX keys and Master 3 mouse. The surface laptop is connected via mDP -> DP and also USB3. I have my MBP connected via USB-C (via an eGPU) that handles and piggy-backs USB data (2.0 only sadly), and charges the MBP. The Dell u3219q (32” 4K USB-C) that I use has a decent approach to KVM (at least for two computers).
